On Red Nose Day, 16th March 2007, children and staff enjoyed lots of fun activities to help raise money for Comic Relief. Staff and students all dressed in red to show support for the fundraising day. Children were treated to a 'new' teacher for the morning - followed by the chance to sponsor their teacher doing something wacky! Some teachers had to sing their lessons, some had to walk continuous laps around the classroom while teaching, one Year 4 class were taught in Irish! Reception were taught by a Queen and a princess and one Year 2 class had a teacher who was not allowed to touch the floor for the whole hour!!
In the afternoon, the staff surprised the children by performing a hilarious version of the Comic relief single, 'Walk This Way - complete with 'big' costumes and dancing. Everyone enjoyed the day and over £170 was raised for Comic Relief.
On Thursday 8th February 2007, our school was covered in a thick blanket of snow. At breaktime we were allowed to go into our back playground to enjoy the snow. It was great fun building snowmen and having snowball fights!! Even our teachers and Mrs. Ritchie, our Headteacher joined in the fun!!
